Issues GitHub

Terms of Use

Issues is free. These terms cover the app and this website; they are short because the app does little beyond showing and changing what you already have on GitHub.

The licence

Issues from the App Store is licensed to you under Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the Standard EULA). The points below add to it and don't replace it; where they differ, the Standard EULA applies.

Your GitHub account

You sign in with your own GitHub account, and the app acts on your behalf: what you do in it happens on GitHub under your name, as if you had done it on github.com. Moving a card changes the project, a comment is posted as you, and deleting an issue deletes it on GitHub. GitHub's Terms of Service apply to that, and you are responsible for what you change in projects you have access to.

To use the app with your own projects you need a GitHub account. “Explore with Sample Data” works without one.

Not affiliated with GitHub

Issues is an independent app. It is not made, endorsed or sponsored by GitHub, Inc. GitHub and the GitHub logo are trademarks of GitHub, Inc.

Open source

The source code is public under the MIT License. If you build the app yourself from the source, that license applies instead of the Standard EULA.

Availability

The app depends on GitHub and its interface for apps. When GitHub changes or limits it, parts of the app may stop working until an update is out. The app is offered free of charge, without a promise of particular features or of being available at all times.
